Hey Jonas,

I don't know about Linux compatiblity, but I can tell you that we are
actually on our third Onstream (30GB) drive at work before we actually got
one that would work reliably.  The first wouldn't even work with the driver
(in NT), the second had a frozen eject button making it impossible to insert
a new tape directly after ejecting one (took power-down to fix), but the
third has been working nice so far.  No hardware compression, all done via
software if the backup software supports it.
