Gawd, please nuke the HTML!  On to the question:

/dev/sr0 is a cdrom
/dev/ftape is the floppy tape driver (non-sequitor here)
/dev/st0 would be your first recognized scsi tape drive.  Do you have
scsi tape enabled in the kernel?  Once that's taken care of (and make
sure your scsi id's are unique per device), you can symlink /dev/tape
to /dev/st0 and create the TAPE envvar, and most things should work
just fine.
