If I remember correctly, issuing rpm --rebuild on taper 6.9a SRPM did fix my
problems. I am however using kdat with my HP 32570 DDS1 DAT drive currently.
taper always used to mess up screen by issuing unaligned access exceptions &
I didn't have inclination to actually mess with the code to fix that.
