Dear all,
We have a UP2000 which has been running 2.2.13/14 SMP kernel compiled
for generic alpha, and we keep receiving the message (up to 10 times
daily)....
Jan 12 13:18:15 hera kernel: machine check type: correctable ECC error
(retryable)
Jan 12 13:24:05 hera kernel: TSUNAMI machine check: vector=0x630
pc=0xfffffc0000469408 code=0x100000086
I know this has been discussed recently, but I can't remember seeing a
definitive respone. The question I have is does this imply a hardware
(memory or otherwise) failure, and should I seek a fix while the machine
is under warranty before more serious problems occur? Or is it simply
current kernel incompatabilty with UP2000? We do not experience similar
problems on a DP264 machine.
Regards,
Andy Almond.
