how? Or better asked - what would change that would open the system to more
potential damage or corruption of the packets? Someone could now modify the
clients or right a program to change the datafiles in order to introduce
errors. The risk would not be significantly increased. It would also enhance
the rate at which packets were being processed. Even if they were to get some
bad packets (which they could prevent on their end and could happen anyway)
the net gains, I believe, would far outweigh whatever risk increase they
percieve. I am probably one of the least qualified to comment on this.
Nevertheless, I would like to see a true alpha client. If I am going to help
them there is no reason to make it more painful than it has to be.
