I hacked my own adapter for the multia ide connection. I used an
adapeter designed to install a laptop harddrive in a desktop machine. I
found it at the local hamfest, so I can't tell you who makes it or where
to get one. I then forcibly (hacksawed) the rear end off the floppy cage
to get the necessary clearance and installed the adapter. Then I ran a
really long standard IDE cable out the back of the box through the pci
cardslot (along with my scsi cable, as neither drive can fit inside) It
works as well as expected with ide drives and cdroms, although it's
slower than molassas in January.
