On my PC164, the AudioPCI(ess1371) does the same thing. It doesn't seem to
like being a module. When I rebuilt the kernel with AudioPCI support
included (not modular), the card worked. It also locked up when using udma
on my cmd646 ide controller (on board). Since I have made it modular and
removed cmd646 support (it was marked as expiremental anyway), it works
fine.
