Ruffian and kernel problems.

Hello,
I have the PC164UX Ruffian machine with 512MB RAM and 
something between Red Hat 6.1 and Red Hat 6.2 on it. 
kernel 2.2.15, glibc 2.1.2 I have also several problems:

1. It seams to be unstable. Once per two-tree days it hangs up.
I have a lot of uniteraptible process. From time to time 
i have got some oops (I have report them). I also have a 
lot of unaligned trap but this as I understand is not 
very important. 

2. {Un,}fortunately my system has to work with Jay's Hacked 
version of milo. This one what I have installed, is prepared for 
2.0.35 kernel. Can it be the reason of this unstability.

If not maybe there are some well known solutions how to 
makes this computer more stable.

I would be very grateful for any constructive comments.
