lame source code can be found at:
http://www.sulaco.org/mp3/download/beta/
The lame web page is at:
http://www.sulaco.org/mp3/
I've been using ver3.23 since last summer (?) and it works fine. I just
downloaded the latest beta and it compiled up okay without having to do
anything special. Didn't try encoding anything but it should probably work
okay.

I've spent a morning searching, and all I've found are archives from 1999 with people saying "Lame compiles and works for me", or non-Alpha vrsions, but no live links to Alpha binaries or source? I've tried all the other popular distribution sites too.
