afaik, there isnt enough of xfs ported to linux to be able to
tell.  however, since xfs runs on irix, which primarily runs on MIPS, i
suspect that alignment won't cause a problem.  how aware is sgi of 64 bit
issues?  your guess is as good as mine ...
