I have run into very wierd problem with quite simple
CGI binary (coded by C++); binary just SIGSEGVs at very
beginning. It seems that there is some kind of
malloc problems; gdb's backtrace says so.
If I run CGI from command line with same input it just
works fine; CGI fails only if it is run by Apache.
This all happens only with AlphaLinux (RHL-6x) and with
this particular CGI; everything works with x86-Linux
(and Apache) just dandy.
I have tried this with two machine; PWS433a/RHL-61 and
SX164/RHL-62. All rpms are original, I haven't upgrade anything.
I'm not 100% sure, but I think CGI worked with RHL-52; I just
can't verify this now because I don't have any RHL-52 system
around.
So if anybody has run into the same kind of problem and solved it
please let me know.
Iso-H
