Installs 6.2

I installed our machine and chose MD5, thinking that passwords larger than
8 characters would be a good thing. The problem was that this machine was
replacing a machine with about 4k users on it. Originally I had written a
program that stole the passwds from active POP3 connections (with sniffit)
from the old machine and automatically added the users to the new. Worked
great, BUT that idea was poo pooed and I was told that we would be using
regular old crypt, it was taking to long to add users.

My question is do I have to wipe and reload 6.2? or is there an easier way
to go back to regular old fashioned crypt?

TIA
