  What's a standard Linux partition table? 

  SRM definition boot block conflicts with where the DOS partition
  table resides. So, I guess the answer to your question would be 'no'.

  Is Alpha/SRM the only Linux platform that can't boot from DOS
  partitions? Wouldn't surprise me if it was.
