Both. It is up to you to pick one which fits.

Unless different ruffian boards have different models of tulip built-in
then, AFAIK, this NIC works (on 2.2 kernels, forget about de4x5 for 2.4)
with all three drivers, i.e. de4x5, old_tulip and tulip. OTOH it seems
to be very picky about what is on the other end of a wire and it may
fail to negotiate (which implies that it will not work) with some hubs
while this is peachy with other models. These things happen _before_
your driver even comes into a play.
