Sound On dec 500au

does anyone know what the configuration should be for a Digital alpha
500au. 

We are having a problem with setting stereo & 16bits & 44khz, and we get
a playback at what appears to be half speed...... 

On an Xp1000, the same settings give what appears to be normal (sounding
) speed/sounds.
