I have tried the following kernels
2.2.14
2.2.17-14 (RH)
2.4.0
2.4.1
2.4.2
Most stable, hand compiled 2.2.17-14 from Rh 7.0 SRPM
Still occasionally locks, but takes days instead of minutes.
Tried both kgcc and gcc (Rh 7.0 with gcc updates will compile and boot 2.4
series kernels) Again, most stable is 2.2.17-14 with kgcc as the compiler
and that STILL sucks.
