SCSI HD trubble

What is required to do for SCSI winchester with badblocks?
It is known that controller goes to mark badblocks himself.
It is good for any SCSI adapters that allows to do lowlevel format.
What about Jensen with AHA-1742 ?
Once winchester get a badblock we just can put it into basket ?
