Physics prove that the bumblebee cannot possibly fly, but no-one has apparently
told the bumblebee that.

I guess if you're doing it, the limitation must not exist on Alpha, though I am
surprised by that.

This is only true under intel Linux, right?  On my alpha Linux systems, I
frequently write files on ext2 filesystems far exceeding 2 GB.
