I've heard that someone stuck 3GB into a MIATA and it was fine. And
the MIATA internal doc I have even talks about 6GB (!), though I've
not heard of *that* being done. I doubt they'd have mentioned 3 and 6
as possibles if the PYXIS chipset was the limiting factor.
All that really says is that the MIATA SROM code is capable of
handling more than 256MB per DIMM; that may not be applicable to the
SROM code for LX or SX.
However, if one *really* wants to make it happen, the old Digital
Semiconductor EBSDKs had the SROM source code... ;-}
