Re: on Debian/Alpha



Normally, Debian CD images don't become available (especially 
"official" CDs) until a stable release is made.  Since stable releases 
are not often made with Debian, you don't get current CDs.  The best 
thing to do is install the current stable, then upgrade, via the net 
and apt-get, to testing.  That is what I have done with my Alphas.

You really don't need the CDs.  Apt-get is much better with net 
upgrades.  If you want, you can try to create your own CDs with the 
Debian package "debian-cd".  Go find a description of the package on 
www.debian.org
