Don't count on it.  You'd have to sell a large amount of boxed product to
equal the developer time in US dollars.  It will be a steep uphill battle.

No, blame them both.  IIRC, RH was partially funded by Compaq to keep the
Alpha version of RH alive and to offset the operating costs associated
with that goal.  Compaq obviously didn't want to pay (part of that new
"lean and mean" strategy, apparently) and I'm sure RedHat considers
dropping Alpha as a no-brainer.

Again, I think they did.  I bear no ill-will towards RedHat, despite my
Debian affiliation and above comments.  I actually considered us "in this
together" when it comes to Alpha.  It's bad news all the way around.
