Make sure SRM supports your devices, and decide whether you really want to
switch. I did switch my SX over to SRM due to some compatibility issues
(had trouble with iprobe on AlphaBIOS) but my disk controller isn't
supported. That means I have to boot from floppy, but on the upside that
also means I had no reason to repartition since SRM won't look at my disks
anyway.
In my experience, if AlphaBIOS/MILO is working for you, there's no
compelling reason to switch, unless perhaps you want to attempt
dual-booting with Tru64 (in which case you'll definitely need to check
device support).
