As I wrote - ext3 is already an integral part of "ac" series. It will
likely show up in "Linus kernels" RSN as well. There are also already
patched "vendor" kernels with ext3 - sources and binaries.
Both 'jfs' and 'xfs' will likely show up in "standard" sources as well
but in a longer perspective. 'jfs' is still having "issues". 'xfs',
from what I understand, intervenes now quite deeply into other kernel
structures and it may be not very surprising to see yet a more thorough
rewrite of it, or two. Or maybe there will be a better fit later but
do not expect that in 2.4.
You can track status of these at
<http://oss.sgi.com/projects/xfs/>, and
<http://oss.lotus.com/jfs/>.
There are people using both but they are not recommended in this moment
for a "production".
