Yeah, I'm not worried about that. I'm worried more about toasting
the flash and being left unable to boot anything. Of course, if the
part is socketed, I can copy it with a prom programmer before
reflashing, and that would make me more comfortable.
However, this machine is good for another couple years I figure
(limited mostly by the availability of DRAM and PCI video cards:-)
so bringing it more up to date would probably be a good thing.
Where's the current home for the flash update kits?
