$ dir /usr/X11R6/bin/xterm
-rwxr-xr-x    2 root       228836 Feb  5 16:16 /usr/X11R6/bin/xterm

My xterm from 4.2.0 is not SUID.. or did you mean XFree86.org's
default if you compile it? If the xterm from my rpm's installed
SUID and you are sure nobody has changed it, please let me know
exactly what release of the rpm package it was so I can ensure it
is not SUID.

Thanks,
