Dear Mr. Z,

When I put my RH 7.1 in, up came a partitioning wizard, the Disk Druid. 
I guess it's a partner of Kandalf the Dragon.  It offered me a standard
partition install, and then redid the partitions I had set up with the
jumpstart disk.  You need to go with the recommendations on partition
size ... the worst that will happen is you'll have to do the
installation over.
