Huh. Is this with an upgrade or a regular installation? I was trying
to avoid the regular installation so I could preserve my existing files.
I didn't see anything about disk druid when I went through the upgrade
screens.
Can disk druid expand the boot partition and
shrink the regular partition while keeping all the files intact? The
manpages on fdisk, ext2resize, etc. seem to say there is no way to shrink
a partition.
Another problem I had is that the GUI install futzes up my monitor (can't
see anything), so I had to go with the text install. Is the Disk Druid
only available in the GUI install? If so, is there any way I can specify
my own XF86Config file for the installation so I can actually
see what's going on?
Or can I fool the install by deleting the existing files in the boot
partition? Maybe it doesn't take into account that
it will be overwriting them when it figures out how much space it needs.
