I know it's a strange request, but does anybody know a reliable
way to blow away an X server with the obnoxious floating point
exception, signal 8?
Every once in a while, the X server compiled from xfree86.org
4.2.0 sources dies with a signal 8, apparently a floating point
exception. Acting on advice from Jay Estabrook (thanks), I
built an X server with "#define HasCbrt NO" in host.def, but
I'd like to be able to test whether it actually makes a
difference.
Mail/news archives says "x11perf -wellipse10" would blow away
the X server, but it doesn't do it for mine.
Thanks.
