Sigh...

I'm not sure anyone has tried the 3D-capable ATI PCI cards
(Rage128/Radeon) on SPARSE machines, mostly because the BIOS emulation
in the SRM consoles is not (usually) up to the task of initializing
the cards.

Is your PC164 SRM console actually able to init the PCI Radeon, and
give you working text console mode? If so, what version of SRM are
you running (do NOT tell me MILO... :-)? If not, what are you using
for console, a serial line?

Regardless, it's obvious from the log that the server is not doing
the right thing(s) when attempting to run on the PC164.

I don't know if going to 4.2.0 will fix things, but it might; is that
an option for you? There may be RH rpms int their "rawhide" directory
for 4.2.0, or you could build it yourself (it's not difficult, just
requires *lots* of space and time).
