Yeah. The HALT/RESET combination only works on the 'server' class
Alphaservers. Well I have some good news. It wont be too much trouble
to support the flash on the Samsung LX's in DBM . For those that are curious
it's an Intel 28F008S5 as opposed to the Intel 28F008SA which is found
in the DEC manufactured LX. The former has some extra features and a slightly
different command spec.
I'd get the fix to you sooner but it looks like I'm going to have to setup
Windows NT on an Alpha just so I can build the image [scandelous :-)]. I'd
do it on DUNIX but SOMEONE still has my cd's ;-). It doesnt build well on Linux.
The EBSDK that is. I suppose I should think about updating the fail safe
bootloader
for that platform so it clears all passwords upon invocation of fail safe mode
(by action of closed jumper) as well. I'll get back to you soon.
