It seems that mozilla on i386 doesn't honour the geometry settings
neither, but your problem might be solved by a window manager setting.
At least, I think (simple) FVWM2 can handle such placement fine.
Anyway, I think interrupting your work because you need the place
manually, seems a WM problem, not mozilla.
