...but keep in mind on some systems even if you have SRM console set to
serial you can still get a >>> prompt on the graphics adapter. even tho it
wont be the "console" device, you can actually enter some commands.

On SRM yes.
serial console is the default.
That way if you have no graphics card you are not stuck.
Getting to a term is always easier than finding and installing a video card.
