This may double-post -- apologies (didn't have membership configuration).

Hello. I'm a relative newbie who's gotten RH 6.2 onto two Miatas
successully. Now I'm moving slightly up the hardware ladder -- I've
acquired several AS 1200 and one AS 4100 (am I deranged?). I'm starting
with an AS 1200.
When I boot from SRM (gotta love that complete power cycle :-), V5.8-2,
everything goes swimmingly -- until well into the boot I get this:
....
running install...
running /sbin/loader
Running anaconda - please wait...
'import exceptions' failed; use -v for traceback
Warning! Falling back to string-based exceptions
install exited abnormally -- received signal 6
sending termination signals...done
sending kill signals...done
disabling swap...
unmounting filesystems...
/mnt/runtime
/mnt/source umount failed (16)
/dev/pts
/proc
you may safely reboot your system
So, can anyone provide some clarification on these exceptions, and offer
some alternative installation guidelines to dodge them? :-)
And thanks in advance to all of you for being so encouraging and helpful.
It keeps me trying and learning.
Ralph
