Give you any ideas? So, I've tracked down the RH 7.1 notes that say,
specifically, that on Alpha you may run into anaconda (python) failures.
There is no workaround, so if I've got it, then perhaps the best tack is to
go to RH 7.0 and rpm myself right up to date.
But it'd be cool if upcoming 7.2 didn't fail this way, or if there were a
workaround for the failure....
