CD booting?

I have a Miata based system that I want to run Linux on.  The 
installation boot floppy process had worked several years ago, it 
doesn't any longer.  I've tried a different drive, checking the 
connections and different discs.

Are there any Alpha Linux distributions that are bootable from CD?  I am 
having a hard time finding any reference to this on any Alpha Linux 
related sites.

I already have a MILO on a FAT partition, and an entry in AlphaBIOS so I 
can enter my boot line. I just need a CD that allows me to enter "boot 
hda" or "boot hda:filename" to start a distribution installation rather 
than "boot floppy".
