Re: "Yarrow" on Alpha



  I'd be very interested to try Firebird on my miata. As far as gcc3 and glibc
- somehow I was able to build both of them without any hassle:
# gcc -v
Reading specs from
/usr/local/lib/gcc-lib/alphaev56-unknown-linux-gnu/3.3.1/specs
Configured with: ../gcc-3.3.1/configure --enable-shared --enable-threads
Thread model: posix
gcc version 3.3.1

# ls -l /lib/libc.so*
lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     root           13 Qem 24 11:56 /lib/libc.so.6.1 ->
libc-2.3.2.so

 However I didn't use SRPMs - just got the source and build it. Of course each
time I am building and installing any new SRPMs I have to use --nodeps as there
's no glibc rpm installed.
