Alphacore 1.0 on alpha xl266

Hello:

I'm trying to install alphacore 1.0 on an xl266 but it simply 
doesn't boot. I've tryed the following boot line from arc console:

boot hdb:/kernels/vmlinux.gz root=/dev/hdb 
initrd=/images/ramdisk.img

But the system hangs at the very start of the proccess. I'm 
thinking about that the kernel has not been compiled with the 
option LEGACY_START set to YES.
Can anyone help me?
