After compiling a few things, tagging a few things from f9 to f8 (so 
don't wonder about f9 tagged pkgs in f8 tree), I finally made it - you 
should be able to upgrade the kernel...

!!!!
Please note: It pulls in upstart, new device-mapper, new nash, new 
mkinitrd, new sysvinit. I DON'T KNOW if they work!
