Not a bad setup. This should be more than enough power to have linux work
quite nicely.

Yes you can, especially since you're using dec-talk. Just grab a copy of
emacspeak, and you'll be all set.
As for partitioning the drive? That's really up to you. Since dos/win95
need to share a partition, and since dos has trouble recognizing very
large partitions, probably the best bet is to make the dos/win95 partition
1GB, and give linux the rest.

Now that opens a whole can of worms, don't go there in this post. *grin*

Yup, sure can. Actually, win95 has it's own dos/95 boot function, so you
can use lilo or loadlin to handle the booting of linux. One thing you'll
need to be aware of though, is that linux needs at least it kernel file
and the boot info on the partition that handles the first partition of the
drive (assuming it's going to be 1gb) because of the way the bios works in
pcs. This may be a bit troublesome to setup, but once it's done, you
should have no trouble booting to linux/dos/win95. In fact, you could
even devote one partition to dos w/o95, so you could just use the other
one for 95 by itself w/o having it handle the dos booting for you. The
way you configure the system is entirely up to you.
