scanners and ocr under linux

hi everyone,
I'm using sane-drivers for scanners (I have a HP 4P scanjet) to scan all sorts of images and that kind of stuf.
But I was wondering if there is any text-recognition program (ocr software) availible for linux working together with sane or if not is compatible with the scanner maned above.
