RE: Coming back to Linux.

I am also coming back to Linux after a long time. So long, in fact, that I
am back in newly level. I've installed Rehat 6 with sighted assistance. I've
also downloaded Emacspeak.tar.gz and emacspeak-10.0.tgz and copied them to
the tmp directory. This is as far as my current knowledge can bring me. I
have a Dectalk Express attached to the system. What I need to know is where
I can obtain step-by-step instructions on how to install emacspeak which
assume that I know nothing about Linux. Once I get enough speech output to
get feedback from a shell prompt and read man pages I'll be able to hack my
way through the rest of the details... or so the theory goes. My access to
sighted assistance is really limited so every minute of guessing saved is
several cents saved. I have also subscribed to the emacspeak e-list and will
be posting a similar message there.
Thanks in advance for any help this list can provide.

Nektarios -

You should be able to just install the emacspeak and emacspeak-ss RPMs
which you can download from the blinux ftp archives.

To install Red Hat, I suggest you look into their "kickstart"
procedure.
