You can install *.noarch.rpm files (==no special architecture) on every
platform without a recompile. A *.noarch.rpm package doesn't contain
any compiled stuff (otherwise that package wouldn't be architecture
independent).
So if you have the choice between foo.noarch.rpm and foo.src.rpm, you
should choose the foo.noarch.rpm
But what does the src.rpm package contain?.
If you have a foo.src.rpm and a foo.noarch.rpm, then the foo.src.rpm
holds the original file archives and a spec file from which the
foo.noarch.rpm is built.
