RE: issues with X Window



wine and vmware aren't related in the slightest.

wine is more a set of libraries to
make the programs run usng similar functions of the
X environemtn...

this means tha you don't need windows to un windows applications...

yes this is a lofty goal wanting to run jfw under it, but
maybe it will work someday!

vmware needs you to install an os (nt or linux)
not somehow work magic to make executables run in the other operating
system.

it's more like a virtual pc then an emulator
though emulator is the wrongword for wine...

possibly translator?

FOr this kind of emulation, VMware is probably a much better solution.
Due to the way some screen readers for windows interact with the system I
dont believe that using a screen reader on WIne would work easily.
SOme people already reported successful use of VMware and JFW e.g.
It's just a serious performance isue (I wouldnt recommend VMware and JFW
below 350MHZ/128)
