Not a flame war yet, just healthy competition in the market place of
ideas. I find it refreshing. I tried a desk top including Emacspeak and
w3, but found its performance disappointingly sluggish on this somewhat
slow machine. Oft times, I found myself using fast, terminal-based
applications with a talking terminal for routine tasks, like web browsing
and reading mail, which don't require the power of Emacs. Since such
tasks are about all I use the machine for, I'm considering trying
something like Speakup.
