The command to create the dtlk device is:
     mknod /dev/dtlk c 127 0
The dtlk device listing should look like this:
vanzandt:/tmp# ls -l /dev/dtlk
crw-rw----   1 root     audio    127,   0 Dec 28  1998 /dev/dtlk
