speakup, how do I apply the patch?

Hi all!

I've downloaded speakup v0.08 and have kernel source 2.2.12-20.i386.rpm
(from redhat linux) installed. I executed
patch -p0 <speakup-0.08-patch

the complete patch log follows, it seems to be looking for v 2.3.8 of the
kernel.

Perhaps you used the wrong -p or --strip option?
