For that reason, it might be helpful if patching script would:
1) check the kernel version number,
2) if kernel version does not properly conform;
2a) inform user about deviation,
2b) get permission to download correct kernel, and
2c) install correct kernel before,
3) continuing on with installation.

This might seem unreasonable to some readers, but trust me people those
developers know the
right url to download the kernel and if they can have linux www go out and
download and have linux install it for you,
you're going to make fewer typing mistakes.
