Hello, List. At this time I and a friend are in the process of writing a
book on using Emacs 20.4 with emacspeak 11.0. 
At this time it isn't complete, but I will be sure to let the rest of the
list know when it is done. This is something I felt had to be done in
light of the difficulty of trying to get started in Linux.
As far as I know about the original I don't for see any problems using
Redhat with Emacspeak. Basically, gettingRedhat installed via terminal is
somewhat of a trick. 
Maybe someone could confirm or or correct me on this issue, but I think
you will be fine.
