I recall seeing over the past couple weeks two or three questions as to the
availablility of the source to SVLPro, with no definitive reply, at least,
none on the list. This is a lack of interest? I'd say that you've got some
interest, despite the fact that you've had a couple of very significant
rewrites of the program, so significant were these rewrites that the whole
concept of how the program worked/interacted with the operating system was
changed, and was in the process of changing a third time, as I recall from
your most recent Emails on the project. I don't know what other help you'd
want, apart from people testing it out and saying, "Oh, it's broken", or
"Oh, it works great". If something was broken, how much feedback could be
given on a fix for whatever was broken without the source? As far as
working on things that you yourself don't like to do, did you get any help
from anyone on them, or even ask for any? (Documentation, for instance)
Just some thoughts. ... If you want to discontinue your work, you're
certainly entitled, but it certainly sounds to me as though your bowing out
is at least premature. Of course, if you're really not interested in it
anymore, that's something other--that's why we're all ding this stuff,
after all, but why not just say you're not interested in doing it? Course,
if you are interested and don't want any help, who's to stop you?
