Hello,
I have not used the startfile to install, but i have RedHat 6.0.
Once installed with networking, the dos pc running ncsa telnet could
directly log in, but not as root.
If you have some sighted assistence, I would have done a server or
workstation install with the assistence. With those there are minimum
interaction needed. It Will grab all unused diskspace and fill it up
with several linux partitions.
It will ask you for the lan configuration which you can skip by answering "no"
if you want to set it up later. It also then ask you hostname, domain
primary secondary and tertiary nameservers.
All i am trying to say, is that you will not have to have
continuous assistence for most of the install.
You can of caurse change access rights afterwards,
but i do not know about the install kickstart file.
If you want I can try and email you the html Redhat 6.0 installation manual.
It may help.
I realize that if you have gone thru a redHat 6.0 install, this will be things
You know already.
I can look tonight, but I think RedHat 6.0 has another location for the
access writes file.
Let me know if i can help.
Regards and good luck with the install
Willem
